Viktor Lutsyuk

Honoured Artist of Ukraine.

Viktor Lutsyuk was born in Ukraine. In 1987 he graduated from the vocals faculty of the Kharkov Kotlyarevsky Conservatoire. In 1986 he joined the Dnepropetrovsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.
Since 1996 he has been a soloist with the Mariinsky Theatre, where he made his debut as Andrei (Mazepa).

The singer’s repertoire also includes the tenor role in Sofia Gubaidulina’s St John’s Passion.

Viktor Lutsyuk has toured to Great Britain, Italy, Spain, France, Switzerland, Germany, Japan, Finland, the Netherlands, Solvenia, the USA and Turkey. His discography includes recordings of the operas Mazepa, Boris Godunov and Semyon Kotko (Philips Classics).
