Alexander Vinogradov made his debut at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow at the age of 21. Since then he has established a remarkable career and has won numerous prizes in international singing competitions.
Mr. Vinogradov is a regular guest at the Deutsche Staatsoper Berlin and he has also performed with the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Washington Opera, Teatro alla Scala, Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, Dresden Semperoper, Teatro Opera Bastille Paris, Palau de les Arts, Valencia, Teatro Real Madrid, Opera National de Paris, Théâtre du Châtelet, San Diego Opera, Ravinia Festival, New National Theatre in Tokyo, just to name a few. He worked with such conducters as Daniel Barenboim, Myung-Whun Chung, Placido Domingo, Gustavo Dudamel, Lawrence Foster, Mariss Jansons, Vladimir Jurowski, Lorin Maazel, Zubin Mehta, Kent Nagano, Gianandrea Noseda, Helmuth Rilling, Yuri Temirkanov.
He opened the 2015/16 season making his much awaited role debut as Filippo II in Don Carlo in Buenos Aires, followed by Carmen (Escamillo) at ROH Covent Garden in London, Verdi’s Messa da Requiem with Philharmonisches Staatsorchester of Halle in London, Nabucco (Banco) at Palau de le Arts de Valencia, Faust in Essen, Carmen (Escamillo) and Luisa Miller (Conte di Walter) at Staatsoper in Hamburg.
Among his future plans are Macbeth (Banco) and Guillaume Tell (Walter Furst) in Hamburg, Carmen (Escamillo) at Zurich Opernhaus, at Arena di Verona and at Opera di Dallas, La bohème in Savonlinna, Lucia di Lammermoor (Raimondo) and La bohème at Teatro Regio di Torino, Ernani at Opéra de Marseille, Ivan Il Terribile with the Rundfunk Sinfonie Orchester in Berlin, at Konzerhaus in Wien and at Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Il gallo d’oro at Teatro Real de Madrid, as well as Lucia di Lammermoor at New York MET.
He opened the 2014/15 season performing Le Campane in Goeteborg, followed by Janácek’s Glagolitische Messe at Wiener Konzerthaus, Nabucco (Zaccaria), Francesca da Rimin and Aleko at Opéra de Nancy, IX Symphony by Beethoven with Israel Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Zubin Mehta, La bohème at Dallas Opera and Guillaume Tell (Walter Furst) at ROH in London. He opened the 2013/14 season performing Carmen at Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, followed by Rigoletto (Sparafucile), Die Zauberflöte (Sarastro) at Teatro Regio di Torino, Faust (Mefistofele) at Atlanta Opera, Ernani (Don Ruy Gomez) at Opéra de Montecarlo, Carmen at Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova, as well as Paukenmesse with Danish National Chamber Orchestra in Copenhagen. He also sang DvoĆák’s Stabat Mater at Festival Saint Denis.
Active also on the concert side, he has sung Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Beethoven’s IX Symphony under the batons of Daniel Barenboim, Lawrence Foster and Myung-Whun Chung, Verdi’s Messa da Requiem with the Bayerische Rundfunk Orchestra under the baton of Mariss Jansons and at Teatro Regio di Parma, Shostakovich’ Symphony No. 14 with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Schostakovich’ 13te Symphonie at Opéra National de Paris.Musorgskij’s Songs and Dances of Death at the Opéra de Lyon, Missa solemnis under Helmuth Rilling’s baton in Stuttgart as well as concerts with the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester conducted by Kent Nagano and the London Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Vladimir Jurowski.
