Born in 1985 in Moldova. In 2006 he completed his studies in choral conducting at the Ştefan Neaga Music College in Chisinau. While there, he simultaneously studied as a vocalist in the opera studio. Following his graduation, he continued his studies at the Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatoire. At the Conservatoire Opera Studio he made his debut in the title role in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin.
In 2010-12 Andrei was a soloist with the Mikhailovsky Theatre in St. Petersburg where he appeared as Belcore (L’elisir d’amore), Schaunard (La Boheme), Robert (Iolanta), Prince (Asafiev’s Cinderella), Silvano (Un ballo in maschera), Baron Douphol (La Traviata) and Dancairo (Carmen). In 2011 he made his debut at the Latvian National Opera as Figaro in Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia.
In October 2012 he joined the Bolshoi Theatre Young Artist Program. In season 2014/15 became a soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre Opera Company.

In 2016 he appeared as Robert (Iolanta) at the Opéra National de Paris, and Schaunard (La Boheme) at the Teatro Municipal, Santiago de Chile. Performed the title part in Eugene Onegin at the Icelandic Opera, Reykjavik (2016) and L’opéra de Nice (France, 2017).
