Anastasia Stashkevich was born in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1985. She received her professional training at the Bolshoi Ballet Academy, graduating in 2003 (class of Tatiana Galtseva). Ms. Stashkevich joined the Bolshoi Ballet as a member of corps de ballet in the fall of that year. She is currently a Soloist. Her coach is the former Bolshoi Principal dancer Svetlana Adyrkhaeva.
Ms. Stashkevich's repertoire includes the role of Lise in Sir Frederick Ashton's La fille mal gardée; Swanilda and L'Aurore in Coppelia; the title role in Yuri Burlaka's Esmeralda; Marie in Yuri Grigorovich's The Nutcracker; Ballerina in Mikhail Fokine's Petrushka; Galya in Alexei Ratmansky's Bright Stream; Princess Florine in The Sleeping Beauty; Act I Pas de Deux in Giselle; Amour in Don Quixote; Amour in Ratmansky's The Flames of Paris; as well as soloist roles in such ballets as Paquita, Swan Lake, La Sylphide, Le Corsaire, and La Bayadere, Twyla Tharp's In the Upper Room, Ratmansky's Jeu de Cartes and Russian Seasons (Girl in Burgundy).
Her awards include the Bronze medal at the Vaganova-Prix International Ballet Competition (2002) and the Silver medal at the Arabesque Ballet Competition in Perm, Russia (2004).
